Central Ohio

My wife and I took a trip to see her family in Ohio over the Easter holiday.  This area of Ohio, near Columbus area, have some amazing landscapes to photograph.  There are many agriculture areas around and the opportunity are endless to photograph.  The below are only a few images that I captured on the recent trip.

The first couple of images are of a small pond with a small shed just on the waters edge.  The willow tree really adds to this image in my opinion and the vivid green grass adds to the image as well.

Here was an old water pump near an old barn.  The pump was just sitting out in an old abandoned field.  I felt the foliage in the background adds to the image.  Creates a nice "pop" in my opinion.

The next set of images are of an old tractor that has been told to be an Oliver brand from around 1950's.  I felt the tractor was very neat to say the least.

Currently I am a member of the Lexington Photography Club in Lexington, North Carolina.  We typically meet every two weeks on a Monday.  For this meeting, we decided to shoot some for our meeting.  We went to the old Dixie furniture pant in Lexington, NC and the scenery was beautiful.  I would imagine at one time that many people worked at this manufacturing facility, but it is now just scenery.  Here are a few of my captures from yesterday.  Please enjoy and comment!

Another angle of the chimney.

These were some steps I thought were neat.

Since astronomy is a hot topic this week with the planets Jupiter and Venus becoming three degrees apart.  I desided to go out and shoot some star trails.  Though I did not shoot Jupiter and Venus, this is an example of having the camera pointed towards Polaris (north star).  Hope you enjoy.  As always comment if you like the images.

This shot was just before some clouds moved in.  The later shots block the star trails as the clouds were thicker.

Clouds were blocking most of the trails for this image.  Still pointing towards Polaris.

Last post was from another Lexington Photography Club member shoot where a few of us gather at an old home-place with many old cars on the premises.  This was a photographers heaven here.  Below are a few of my favorite images from the shoot.

Must say this is my favorite!  Comment if you think so too!

The next post pertains to a small town just outside of Burlinton, NC called Ossipe, NC.  There you will find a rather large dam that was created.  I enjoyed my time here shooting after work, however, I was not there very long.  Here are a few of my favorite images.  I hope you enjoy the images!  If you enjoy the images, please do not hesitate to comment.

North Carolina Transportation Musuem, Spencer, NC

I am a member of a local photography club in Lexington, NC.  The name is Lexington Photography Club.  One of the first member shoots was to the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC.  Here they had everything that was associated with, well, transportation.  These images are mostly of trains in one part of the museum.  Hope you enjoy!
